Genetics used must be able to capitalise on the improved pasture and high fertiliser inputs available to them. Consequently bulls used must complement and enhance the inherent traits of the cow herd such as growth rate, fertility, milking ability, conformation and meat quality.
Bulls such as TeMania Kelp, Hingaia 469(NZ), GT Maximum(USA), QAS Traveler 23-4(USA), VDAR New Trend 315(USA), B/R New Design 036(USA), CA Future Direction(USA) and Millah Murrah New Design V112 are the main influential maternal sires that give synergy to "The Meadows" Angus breeding program.

Current AI/ET sires are Hingaia 469, B/R New Dimension 7127, B/R New Frontier 095, Ardrossan Direction Z24 and SAF 598 Bando 5175. For our heifers we are using Millah Murrah New Design V112 and HA Power Alliance 1025.
